RNHA

Welcome to the California Republican National Hispanic Assembly web site. We are an ever growing population and if you want your political voice heard, then this is the place for you.

There are many attributes we bring to our communities.  We require better representation in local and state government.  What better way to learn and grow in the political arena, than to GET INVOLVED NOW?!

This new millennium comes with milestones of history pages to look back on and learn from our past.  Our forefathers, especially Abraham Lincoln, had the right ideals to test the sands of time.  Lincoln believed that Americans must retain the principles that will ensure freedom, dignity of the human spirit and the best form of government is that which is closest to the people.  This still stands today!

So, if you want to stand up and be heard, join the RNHA of California.

Dear friends and associates:

Much has been said about the Hispanic’s contribution to this great nation.  Many came to this great country of ours to create a better life not only for themselves but for their children.  Unfortunately the Democrats message has been misleading and has taken the Hispanic vote for granted.

We have a rich history in this state, starting with the Missionaries and having our first Hispanic Governor, Republican Romualdo Pacheco.

Our task is to keep building on that history and making this a better place for not only Hispanics but for all men and women.

The latest fiasco perpetrated in Los Angeles was the putting up of a billboard with the words “Los Angeles, Mexico” with the word California being crossed out.  How many people really believe that we of Latin American descent want to go backwards with our accomplishments?  No one that I know of is standing in line trying to get out of this great nation.

Seems like the depressed Democrats will sink to any level to stir the pot creating discontent and hatred.  What the liberals do not understand is that while they view us as needy, poverty stricken or social service seekers, we as a people are in reality, entrepreneurs, and hard workers in pursuit of the American dream.  Sure many of us started by working in the fields, picking, pruning, cultivating the crops.  But many have pulled ourselves out of poverty by acquiring education or skilled trades that have helped us be successful.

While the Democrats are stuck in the “handout” solution to our problems, many of us find this insulting.  We have been a proud race and truly believe that this “paternal approach” is not the answer.

Pride is achieved by accomplishments, not by handouts.  Why the Democrat party had such a strong hold on a lot of our brothers and sisters is beyond my wildest guess.  We as a Latino culture have always been conservative, believing in God, Family and country.  We have been fooled for many years by those preaching that the Democrats are the party of the poor.  But how many of our people came to this country to get poor or should I say poorer?

Not all Hispanics are illegal aliens, undocumented or disadvantaged grape pickers.  Many Hispanics are second and third generation citizens born in this country and are highly productive.

In 2004 there were over two million Hispanic owned businesses that generated $247 Billion dollars in the United States.  A testament that the Republican philosophy of giving a “hand up” and opportunity, is far better than any “handout” the democrats can contrive.

We view ourselves as proud Hispanic Americans.  Many people do not know that per capita, Hispanics have earned more Medals of Honor in our wars then any other race.

Our task as Americans and Republicans is to get the message out to our communities that education not welfare will get our children out of poverty.  Making the right decisions and positive choices are what will make them more successful in life.

Que Dios nos bendiga
