Chairman Loa Takes The Helm
The California Republican National Hispanic Assembly's new leader has a long history of service and outreach to the Latino community. Richard Loa assumed the Chairmanship role after past Chairman Richard Rios accepted the position as state director for the Christian Coalition.
"Richard Loa has proven himself to be a leader who can continue to move the Hispanic conservative community by supporting candidates who share our values." Rios stated.
Chairman Loa has served at various levels within the RNHA organization and is one of the longest serving members. He is recognized throughout the state for his integrity and knowledge of public policy.
1. Expand membership in the RNHA through an aggressive outreach program for voter registration that will focus on non-registered voters, Decline to States, Independents and those commonly referred to as 'Reagan Democrats'.
2. Identify, support, enlist and train Hispanic/Latino/minority legislators and candidates throughout the state. Develop a pool of qualified community leaders that will run for local and state offices. Prospective candidate will serve as surrogates for the McCain08 campaign to gain immediate exposure.
3. Evaluate legislation submitted to all levels of government to ensure the minority communities are appropriately and fairly represented.
4. Coordinate town hall meetings where dialogue on Republican Party values, immigration policy, and business concerns are encouraged. Work closely with Hispanic Evangelicals and other faith based organizations.
5. Empower the RNHA finance committee to oversee the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of California's' Political Action Committee. Focus on statewide fundraising to support local chapters, candidates, initiatives, town hall outreaches and other endeavors.
The Republican National Hispanic Assembly looks forward to working with the State and county GOP leadership, and minority candidates at all office levels. Our immediate objective is to incorporate the recent presidential election effort into 2009 local elections with our eye on all State and Congressional races in 2010.
